2026 Conference Program

After an enthusiastic response to our call for papers, the conference program is now available! With four keynote speakers and a youth panel, we have a program chock-full of research, new ideas and challenges. We’re making good use of spincycles and roundtables to maximise the value from attending the conference, even including an active transport board game as an icebreaker at the conference dinner.

This year we are devoting part of the program to focussed themes. On the first day the experiences of young people in walking and cycling are explored through five presentations, plus a panel discussion of teenagers sharing their experiences and ideas. On the second day Walking SA has joined with us to curate two sessions devoted to walking, as well has hosting a walk for the early risers. The rest of the jam-packed program will again feature a good mix of government, consulting, academic and community speakers ready to showcase newest developments in walking and cycling.
